On The Site:
Well, since it's been nearly a year since I posted a "what's new," I haven't the fainest idea what all is new! But, there are tons of new poems for sure, including some "works in (never-going-to-touch-again) progress" from NaPoWriMo. There are also several new photos and several new short stories. I apologize right now for all the ones that say "currently removed"...they'll be back when I'm legally allowed to put them on a worldwide medium. There has not been a new entry in my personal blog for several months, but there also will not be one. My personal life has pretty much been thrown into a complete 180 and don't really want it posted right now...but if you want to email me or message me and ask I may share the details.
Publishing:
I was officially published twice in March in the YWLJ with a short story and a prose poetry piece. I will also be publish twice more with another short fiction piece and a poem this fall (though I don't know when because the editor is literally absolutely unreachable, and this wasn't my idea haha). These two I kind of happened into on accident, as I actually submitted the pieces to contests to get some money and they both won second place in their respective contests, winning me a total of $300 (way more than I would have received had I actually submitted them somewhere for publishing) and was then asked if "it was okay to publish them." Anyway, those will be in the Woodhouse this fall. On a random side note, I also won second place for English Essay of the Year in an Upper Division Class, even though the teacher I wrote it for barely thought it warranted an A- (haha, laura, haha), but no money for that one, just a book and a line on my resume.
Working On:
I'm currently working on a novel called "Park" that I mapped out while in Kenya. And by "working on" I mean I mapped it out and I still know where the map is...I just haven't touched it yet.
Also working on a short story called "A Hundred Sins" for a contest...but mostly just because it's fun.
Plus, I have a sudden love for Dorothy Koomson, a ridiculously British author whose books are not available in the US and I have to keep ordering from the UK, who writes these very girly summer reads that I can't put down...so that's taking a good chunk of my literature time.
Summer Highlights:
A Month in Kenya, Africa. Rocked so much, miss it ridiculously.
A Week in London and York. Also rocked.
Starting classes on the 25th of this month, and am back to work in September (may push my leave until October if needed, though).
Braylynn turning 6 months (and 7, and 8) and crawling!

I posted new photos from the Ren Fest, new drawings as well as some paintings and a poster I made (Beo!) under drawings as well. I also posted a new silly poem and some culinary photos under "random"! Check them out!
YWS:
The first monthly poetry contest went very well! We got a lot of entries. The second one is wrapping up here on the 31st, but I only have four or five entries so far so it's much less enthusiastic as last months. The Writer's Society (www.thewriterssociety.com) is now officially open for those of us 18 years and older, that way when we age out of YWS there is a place to go, though certain people can never leave their YWS peeps (ahem...me ;). But come on over! It's a good time!
Publishing:
I am working on a story (and almost completed) for both a contest and a Literary Journal entry. If it is accepted for the LJ, it will be published in January (yay!). I'm still working on the book...haven't made it very far since the MaNo, but I'm not picking anything up for NaNo so I can continue it. I still haven't done with queries for my other, ready to publish story.......but that's pretty much just because I'm lazy and busy at the same time. :)
Coming Up:
Mexico! (booked)
Kenya! (booked)
London! (....half booked)

New Personal Blog page, AND entry! :D
A few new pictures, but you have all probably seen them before.
PostSecret has a new VIDEO up! Find the link in Random.
I think almost everything is up to date (except stories) so feel free to surf around!
On YWS:
I'm going to be starting a monthly contest I suppose, a different poetic form every month. Not sure yet if there is going to be one this month or not, if there is it will be something easy like a couplet or something equally easy.
Publishing:
I've picked the publishers I want to query. Now, if I would just get the queries together, we'd be in business =] Soon, though!
Coming Up:
I'll be out of town for a week and then probably won't be on the net until a week later due to moving and internet switching and such and such.
Thanks for stopping by!

There should be a little something on every page, I haven't gotten around to adding EVERYTHING quite yet.
Please let me know if you spot any bugs!
Thanks!
